As a registered payment services agent, we operate in accordance with applicable UK legislation, regulatory requirements and the compliance standards of our principal payment institution.
- Verify customer identity through Know Your Customer checks.
- Carry out Customer Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence where required.
- Monitor transactions and investigate suspicious activity.
- Screen customers against sanctions and politically exposed person lists where applicable.
- Maintain customer and transaction records for the period required by law.
- Provide regular AML training to staff.
- Report suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities where required by law.
Information we may request
Before processing a transaction, we may request proof of identity, proof of address, source of funds, source of wealth, transaction purpose and supporting documents. Customers should provide requested information promptly.
Transaction decisions
We may delay, suspend or refuse a transaction where information is incomplete, misleading or cannot be verified, or where we suspect money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud or other unlawful activity. Failure to provide requested information may result in delay or refusal of service.
Money laundering and terrorist financing are criminal offences. Providing false information, forged documents or structuring transactions to avoid reporting requirements may be reported to the relevant authorities. We will not knowingly provide services where funds are suspected to originate from criminal activity or where a transaction appears connected with unlawful conduct.
